Terms of Service for Kitchen Spray Painting Services

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the provision of kitchen spray painting services ("Services") by Kitchen Door Coatings ("we," "us," or "our") to you ("Customer" or "you"). By engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not proceed with the Services.

1. Description of Services

We provide professional kitchen spray painting services, which include:

Removal of kitchen doors, drawers and plinths for transport to our workshop, where they will be spray painted.

On-site painting of remaining kitchen elements, such as trim, end panels, and other fixed components, by hand using rollers and brushes.

All work will be performed by qualified professionals using high-quality materials, including Renner brand paint, which is colour-matched by our suppliers to your specified preferences.

2. Customer Responsibilities

Preparation of the Kitchen: You must ensure that the kitchen is presented in a clean and ready condition prior to the commencement of our work. This includes removing all grease, dirt, food residues, and reasonably personal items from surfaces, front portion of cabinets and drawers. Failure to do so may result in delays, additional cleaning fees at our discretion, or refusal to commence work until the kitchen is adequately prepared.
Access and Cooperation: You must provide unrestricted access to the kitchen and any necessary areas during working hours. You are responsible for securing pets, children, and valuables to ensure a safe working environment.

Colour Selection: You must provide clear specifications for colour choices in advance. We will use Renner paint colour-matched by our suppliers to your requested shades (e.g., matching to brands like Farrow & Ball, Little Greene).

3. Quotations and Estimations

All quotations provided are based on the information You supply and an initial assessment. Quotations may be subject to change if additional work is required due to unforeseen issues (e.g., hidden damage or extra preparation needs). Or additional work is requested (e.g changing of handles)
We work carefully, but we’re not responsible for pre-existing issues with your cabinets/surfaces. Our responsibility is limited to what you’ve paid us.

Timescales: Any timescales provided for completion of the Services (e.g., 2 weeks) are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Completion may take longer due to factors such as weather conditions (for drying times), supply chain delays, unexpected site issues, or other circumstances beyond Our control. Conversely, work may finish earlier than estimated. We will make reasonable efforts to complete the Services in a timely manner but accept no liability for any delays or early completions.
 

4. Colour Matching Disclaimer

While we strive to achieve the closest possible colour match using Renner paint supplied and matched by our suppliers, and they are usually exact, we cannot guarantee an exact match every time due to factors such as variations in paint batches, lighting conditions, and inherent differences between paint brands. Slight discrepancies in shade, tone, may occur. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and accept that no refunds, rework, or compensation will be provided for perceived colour mismatches.

5. Timescales and Completion

We will provide an estimated timescale for the completion of the Services based on the scope of work (e.g., 2 weeks). However, this is an estimate only and not a guaranteed deadline. Actual completion times may vary due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions (affecting drying times), supply chain delays, additional preparation required, or changes in scope requested by you. The project may finish earlier or later than estimated, potentially by a few days or up to a week or more. We will keep you informed of any significant delays, but no penalties, discounts, or compensation will apply for variations from the estimated timescale.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately on completion of work at which time an invoice will be issued. We accept cash and bank transfer.

7. Changes to Scope

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be requested in writing and may result in adjustments to the price, timescale, or both. We reserve the right to refuse changes that we deem impractical.

8. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us and supersede any prior understandings. By engaging our services you are agreeing to these terms.
